Our Laboratory Medical Directorship/MS in Business Administration Fellowship is an innovative hands on program will prepare participants to take on administrative roles and become our future pathology leaders. Residency training in the business and management aspects of pathology practice was identified as an area where improvement is needed in the ASCP’s 2020 Fellowship and Job Market Survey.
To our knowledge we are the first institution in the country to offer fellowship training in the area of laboratory management and medical directorship.
Applicants must be board certified or board eligible in combined Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP) (preferred) or Clinical Pathology (CP). Applicants must also must be accepted to the part time medical management program Simon Business School – University of Rochester. The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at The University of Rochester will help to facilitate that application after preliminary acceptance of qualified candidates.
