Postdoctoral Fellowship Program in Clinical Health Psychology

The Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship program in Clinical Health Psychology at Indiana University School of Medicine is a one-year program that trains clinical health psychologists with a specialty in serving the diverse and complex population of medically ill patients treated at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital and the Advanced Heart and Lung Care Clinic, which serve individuals across the state of Indiana and beyond.

The program has an emphasis in cardiac-pulmonary behavioral medicine and transplant psychology. Fellows will have the opportunity to train in both outpatient and medical inpatient settings conducting both evaluation and intervention services. Pre-transplant evaluations, consultation-liaison services and individual/group psychotherapy interventions are part of the clinical protocol.

Prerequisites:

  • Completion of an APA-accredited PhD or PsyD program in clinical or school psychology
  • Completion of an APA-accredited predoctoral internship program
  • Applications are encouraged from professionals of ethnic backgrounds
