This fellowship can be taken as a one or two-year track with the option to earn a master’s degree during training. Academic faculty appointment and pursuit of the registered diagnostic medical sonographer certification is encouraged. Clinical responsibilities will occupy about 20% of the fellow’s time with the remaining time devoted to the fellowship. The schedule allows ample opportunity to pursue research, moonlighting, subspecialty fellowship, or other areas of interest.
The fellowship directors are actively involved in research using traditional and novel ultrasound techniques for screening and diagnosis in women’s imaging.
