The Department of Urology Residency Program at the Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia is now accepting applications for a PGY 2 Resident in the Urology Residency Program for the 2022-2023 cycle.
At Einstein, we have clinical expertise in all core domains of benign urology and urologic oncology. Training provides residents with an immersive experience with excellent case volumes, allowing for comprehensive training in all fields within urology. Residents at our program train across multiple institutions including Einstein Healthcare Network, Fox Chase Cancer Center, and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Our department consists of 30 faculty including 10 full time faculty, 20 voluntary faculty at the allied institutions. Our full-time faculty includes fellowship trained surgeons in urologic oncology, robotics, trauma and reconstruction, endourology, neurourology, and female pelvic reconstructive medicine.
All interested candidates must complete 1 year of U.S. Residency training that is *Surgery Focused by June 30, 2022.
*Surgery Focused Residency must include: -3 Months of General Surgery which focuses on the care of general surgical patients with abdominal and/or pelvic conditions (e.g. general surgery, acute care surgery, colon and rectal surgery, surgical oncology, and trauma surgery) -3 Months of Additional Surgical Training that advances resident knowledge, skills and abilities in the surgical care of patients relevant to the future practice of urology (e.g. advanced vascular surgery, pediatric surgery, transplant surgery, surgical critical care, and reconstructive plastic surgery) -No more than 3 Months of Non-Surgical rotations designed to complement urological education which must be selected from the following: anesthesiology, interventional radiology, and nephrology.
