Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship

Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship

Rush University Medical Center is a place that feels like home—welcoming, warm, inclusive, and a place where you are valued and recognized. We cherish this and many other distinguishing aspects about Rush. Our C-L attending physicians place an emphasis on mentorship and the Fellow’s personal goals in education and development as a psychiatrist. Our diverse and clinically robust educational curriculum—both clinical and didactic—possesses the ingredients needed to produce a C-L Psychiatrist that is academically and clinically well-rounded, confident, and equally important in our view, a person professional that harnesses the uniquely human aspects of a C-L Psychiatrist’s work. A few highlights of our fellowship include: customizable selective opportunities that facilitate experience and knowledge acquisition in a variety of sub-specialties in C-L Psychiatry; a flexible rotation schedule; weekly protected time for non-clinical supervision and board examination preparation; faculty with broad areas of expertise; and an opportunity to see complex and rare conditions in a setting that is nationally distinguished for quality and excellence of care—just to mention a few.

Our welcome message would not be complete without highlighting our most recent accomplishments as a Medical Center:

  • In 2019, Vizient ranked RUMC as providing the highest quality care of 93 major academic medical centers.
  • In July 2020, RUMC earned a top spot on U.S. News & World Report’s annual Best Hospitals Honor Roll. Rush holds the 17th spot among the nearly 3,000 U.S. hospitals evaluated, with our neurology & neurosurgery services rated fourth in the country.
  • In October 2020, RUMC was awarded its fifth consecutive Magnet designation.
