Cytopathology Fellowship

Cytopathology Fellowship

Welcome to the Cytopathology Fellowship Program in the department of pathology at the University of Florida College of Medicine – Jacksonville. This one-year program for board-eligible pathologists is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, or ACGME. The fellowship focuses exclusively on gynecological cytology, non-gynecological cytology and fine needle aspiration biopsy, or FNAB, cytology.

Our program strives to provide comprehensive education in cytopathology and emphasizes the role of the cytopathologist as a consultant and as a pathologist. The faculty are committed to teaching and practicing high quality cytopathology and are known for their pioneering work on the introduction of FNAB to the Jacksonville community and investigational work in combining cytology with ancillary studies, provided by the tumor analysis laboratory.
