Global Surgery Fellowship

East Tennessee Sate University is offering a one-year surgical fellowship based in Monze, Zambia. Monze hospital is a 120-bed hospital with three operating rooms. The surgical department at Monze currently trains two surgical residents and has two full time attendings.

The global surgery fellow will be responsible for daily rounds, elective and emergent surgeries, training residents, advancing research at Monze hospital, and any other staff surgeon responsibilities. Compensation is equivalent to a PGY-6 year and housing/travel are included. Applicants must be board certified or board eligible. This fellowship is an amazing opportunity for anyone looking to expand their surgical skills, knowledge, and experience, while improving access to care in a beautiful part of East Africa.
