Advanced Abdominal Imaging Fellowship

The University of California Davis Medical Center in Sacramento has openings for fellowship in Advanced Abdominal Imaging for the academic year 2022-2023 and 2023-24.This fellowship offers training in Abdominal & Pelvic MRI (4 months), Non-vascular interventional procedures (4 months), and 3 months are allowed for electives. Vacation and educational leave account for the last month.

This is only one of very few fellowships in the country that offers comprehensive training in abdominal interventional procedures, including biopsy, fluid aspiration, catheter drainages, and ablations, working alongside extremely skilled faculty. Fellows also get exposed to higher end Abdominal CT exams including CT Colonography, Enterography, Urography, and CT Angiograms during their core rotations. Electives can be pursued in Musculoskeletal MRI, Breast Imaging, High Risk Obstetric Ultrasound, or Cardiothoracic Imaging (which includes lung biopsies, and thoracic drainages). Alternatively, elective time can be used for pursuing a research project with one of several faculty actively engaged in clinical research. Applicants must have completed a four-year residency in the United States or Canada and be eligible for a California Medical license. Fellows also have the opportunity for picking up additional general radiology shifts in the evenings and over the weekends which are compensated competitively at market rates.
