Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship

Welcome to the University of Pennsylvania Department of Emergency Medicine Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Fellowship website! We are an ACGME-approved EMS Fellowship that has been built from the ground up to train a new generation of EMS physician leaders.

Our program’s fundamental goal is to provide a truly diverse one-year EMS educational experience. Leveraging the foundational support of University of Pennsylvania Health System, our program extends from the streets of Philadelphia to the farmlands of Lancaster County in a wide variety of EMS delivery systems including fire, collegiate, volunteer, hybrid, third service, mobile integrated health, and aviation. At the completion of our fellowship our graduates will be well prepared to practice EMS in virtually any setting.

How To Apply:

We are currently seeking candidates to apply for EMS fellowship to begin July 2023 as well as July 2024.

The Penn Medicine EMS Fellowship Program requests that physician applicants forward the following materials to [email protected].

1. Current Curriculum vitae
2. Cover letter with personal statement describing your interest in EMS in general, and the Penn EMS Fellowship in particular
3. Three (3) original letters of recommendation, one of which must be from your current or most recent program director
