Headache Fellowship

Headache Fellowship

Headache is the most common chief complaint presented to neurology. Even though over 39 million people have migraines in the U.S., there are fewer than 600 UCNS-accredited headache medicine specialists, which results in high demand for fellowship graduates. Graduates have excellent opportunities in a field that combines the best of neurology, women’s health, family practice, and procedural interventions.

Our Headache Medicine fellowship is a one-year UCNS accredited program available to graduates of U.S. neurology residencies, where fellows receive extensive clinical training in the evaluation and management of headache disorders. The primary educational setting is a supervised outpatient continuity clinic. Education and didactics focus on history and physical exam skills specific to headache patients, diagnostic evaluation, and therapeutic management.
