Surgery Orthopedics Research Fellowship

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine offers a two-year postdoctoral Orthopaedic Physician Scientist Training Program that provides mentored and protected basic science research time before a clinical residency.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Have focused research time with no call obligations.
  • Publish and present findings at research meetings.
  • Participate in educational conferences.
  • Receive mentoring from faculty, and provide mentoring to other residents and students.
  • Opportunity to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Wake Forest Graduate School of Arts and Sciences

Prerequisites:

All candidates must be U.S. medical school graduates or have received certification from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG)
