The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has an unexpected opening in the R2 class to begin on July 1, 2020, and we are actively seeking a qualified candidate for this position.
The qualified candidate will train at OSU Main, the James Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Ross Heart Hospital, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, OSU East hospital, and several ambulatory sites. The resident who enters our program will encounter an unparalleled depth and breadth of pathology in its approximately 650,000 studies per year.
Leadership opportunities in professional societies are encouraged and strongly supported. Innovations in our residency include a resident cabinet that convenes weekly with the PD, a flexible program of time off the clinical schedule that facilitates completion of research projects, a no-pull policy that respects the resident’s educational needs over service-related needs, and an advanced AI lab with excellent research opportunities. Columbus is the 14th largest city, and the 4th fastest-growing city, in the US.
It is a vibrant, diverse community with outstanding opportunities in live music, professional and collegiate athletics, theater/performing arts, bars, craft breweries, and a tremendous food scene. We focus on resident and faculty wellness, and strongly support the holistic development of our trainees. T
The location of the OSUWMC on the Ohio State University Campus facilitates inter-departmental collaboration.
Applicants must have completed an ACGME accredited internship and one year of ACGME accredited training in a Diagnostic Radiology program. All qualified R2 candidates in good standing will be considered.
