Nuclear Oncology Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the Nuclear Oncology Fellowship offered by the Department of Radiology at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

We offer a 1-year non-accredited program that will expose you to a broad range of clinical problems in diagnostic imaging and nuclear therapy/theranostics. Our faculty, fellows and residents come from all over the U.S. and countries outside, making the Iowa experience a diverse and welcoming experience. Prerequisites:

Completion of nuclear medicine training program or ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology program.

How To Apply:

To apply for the Nuclear Oncology Fellowship, applicants must email the following documents to [email protected]:

  • Completed application that can be e-mailed, mailed or faxed
  • Curriculum vitae
  • Personal statement giving a summary of your past training background, areas of particular strength and interest and a brief description of how you would hope to utilize and apply your training. Please include a paragraph on any past training or experience in nuclear medicine.
  • Statement of visa status - we sponsor J1 and H1B visas
  • Minimum of 3 letters of recommendation. Letters should come from those persons who are familiar with your recent training and current professional activities. Please instruct reference individuals to email their letters of recommendation directly to the program coordinator.
  • Copy of your ECFMG certificate, if applicable
  • Copies of USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3 transcripts

Following review of the application materials, a selection committee will invite candidates to interview.
