Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship

Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship

Thank you for your interest in the Endovascular Surgical Neuroradiology Fellowship offered by the Departments of Radiology, Neurology, and Neurosurgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics.

We offer a 1-year CAST(Committee on Advanced Subspecialty Training of the Society of Neurological Surgery) – accredited fellowship for fellowship applicants with a Radiology, Neurology or Neurosurgery background. For fellows requiring pre-requisite training prior to the accredited fellowship year, such as diagnostic neuroangiography, or clinical experience in neuro critical care and stroke, we offer an unaccredited pre-requisite training year as well. The core clinical faculty is diverse and includes seven endovascularly-trained clinicians from Neurology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology and Radiology.

The University of Iowa serves as the only comprehensive stroke center in the state. We offer the full range of cerebrovascular procedures in the adult and pediatric populations with exposure to over a 1000 endovascular procedures annually. We also provide a unique experience for clinical research and mentorship while participating in a diversity of endovascular NIH-funded trials or industry sponsored registries.
