Nationwide Children’s Hospital offers a one-year Pediatric Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship that focuses on the development and effective use of advanced imaging biomarkers for common cardiovascular, pulmonary and thoracic diseases in children.
The Pediatric Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship is a combined program with the Department of Pediatric Radiology, the Section of Pediatric Cardiology and the Department of Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The full spectrum of pediatric cardiovascular MR and CT is performed, including neonatal imaging, complex 2-ventricle repair, all stages of single ventricle repair, aortopathy, cardiomyopathy, thrombosis, coronary anomalies, perfusion and viability.
The full spectrum of childhood onset pulmonary and airway disease is also encountered, including dynamic airway CT for proximal airway compromise, cystic fibrosis, HRCT for CHILD, growth disorders, and fetal/neonatal surgical chest conditions. The fellowship also includes exposure to CMR and CT angiographic studies for vascular anomalies, portal hypertension, liver/renal transplant, venous obstruction, and systemic vasculitis, amongst others.

The fellowship is open to radiology trainees who have completed at least a one-year pediatric radiology fellowship, or an adult thoracic or cardiac imaging fellowship.
