The University of Michigan Plastic Surgery Program is seeking a trainee for an NIH funded T-32 surgical scientist training grant in translational research.
The trainee would be joining a comprehensive bench to bedside research program that consists of over 6 different surgical investigators supervised by Dr. Steven Buchman. The trainee will have access to world class translational researchers who will serve as mentors for a trainee who aspires to be an academic surgeon with an interest in translational bench research.
Eligible candidates must be a US citizen or a permanent resident with proof of their citizenship as well as have completed a minimum of 2 years of surgery training in any of the surgical disciplines.
Candidates should submit an application (which includes a personal statement and copies of medical licensure) as well as a CV and three letters of recommendation (one should be from your residency program director).
