Neuroradiology at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital (MGUH) has one opening for a one-year ACGME accredited fellowship position in Diagnostic Neuroradiology beginning July 1, 2020.
We are accredited for a total of 2 positions per year. During their year of training, Diagnostic Neuroradiology fellows rotate through Georgetown University Hospital for the majority of their year. Georgetown University Hospital performs clinical work on two 1.5T MR scanners and 3T MR scanners, as well as 4 CT scanners. There are also month long rotations at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD (a short drive away from Georgetown Hospital), and the National Children’s Hospital in Washington DC (for pediatric neuroradiology training). There are 2-3 months of procedural training as well, mostly tailored to the trainee’s interests.
There are 7 neuroradiologists and 2 interventional neuroradiologists in the division, all of whom work primarily at Georgetown Hospital and all with strong clinical backgrounds and teaching abilities. We collaborate closely with the departments of Neurosurgery, Neurology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, and Radiation Oncology via teaching conferences, tumor boards and clinical working conferences.
Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited residency program, or in an RCPSC-accredited or CFPC-accredited residency program located in Canada. We offer J1 visas only.
