Perioperative Quality and Patient Safety Fellowship

Perioperative Quality and Patient Safety Fellowship

The Department of Anesthesia supports a robust quality improvement program with leaders at multiple sites and in multiple subspecialties. The fellowship is tailored to the candidate with interest in patient quality and safety, but there is flexibility and can be targeted to the applicant’s interest. Candidates may also choose to spend time with our Perioperative Pathway Program learning about ERAS protocols and multidisciplinary perioperative management. As the QI fellow, the candidate will help lead the Anesthesia department monthly QI meetings and M&M conferences.

Candidates will also be expected to lead department wide quality initiatives throughout the year. Participation at national QI meetings are encouraged along with abstract presentations and peer reviewed publications.
