The Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship Program in the Department of Psychiatry, University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, was established to help alleviate the critical shortage of Geriatric Psychiatrists in the state of Hawaii and in the nation as a whole.
Residents are trained to fill roles in academic medicine, clinical psychiatry, research, and administration. Because of Hawaii's multi ethnic population, the residents will gain experience with aging people from a number of ethnic backgrounds and will learn about cross cultural issues.
Please visit the university website for further details: https://www.hawaiiresidency.org/psychiatry-fellowship/the-geriatric-psychiatry-residency-training-program
