Infant Complex Care Fellowship

Infant Complex Care Fellowship

The Infant Complex Care Fellowship is an ICGME-certified fellowship designed for the general pediatrician and consists of a one-year curriculum (with optional second year) for post-residency training in Pediatrics. The program focuses on the unique medical and developmental needs of prematurely born and other high-risk infants and toddlers after discharge and during the first two of years of life. Fellows who complete this training will be able to apply their specialized knowledge and expertise to careers in pediatric academic positions (hospitalist, NICU follow-up, Level 2 nursery) and general pediatric clinical practices across the country.

This is an ideal experience for those not only planning to do private practice, but also hospital medicine, Pediatric Complex Care, Level 2 nursery and/or NICU follow-up, as well as a gap year before doing a Neonatology fellowship. Our previous fellows have all gotten excellent positions upon completing this training. The fellow will be an important team member in our Transitional Medical Home Program for medically fragile infants. I have attached a description of the fellowship curriculum as well as an application. Please circulate to your junior and senior residents who may be interested in applying. We are now accepting applications for July 2022, but welcome inquiries from those who may be interested in doing the fellowship starting in July 2023 as well. Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to forward.
