Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

Geriatric Medicine Fellowship

Welcome to the Geriatric Medicine Fellowship at Swedish Medical Center!

The goals of our fellowship are twofold:

  • To train family medicine and internal medicine physicians in the clinical care of complex geriatric patients in the outpatient, inpatient, and long-term care settings.
  • To prepare graduates for careers in academic medicine by providing faculty-development and leadership training.

While the geriatric medicine fellowship will allow you to develop expertise, it won’t limit your ability to practice to the full extent of your training. Many of our grads have gone on to full-spectrum family medicine jobs in primary care practice groups and community health centers, with the added confidence of expert training in the care of the fastest-growing population in ambulatory practice, patients over age 65.
