The Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship Program is a one-year program that trains fellows in all areas of pulmonary and cardiac imaging. Two positions are available each year, during which time fellows harness their skills conducting and interpreting radiographs, chest CTs, cardiac CTs and MRIs, and performing CT-guided lung and mediastinal biopsies.
Our program teaches fellows how to become clinical experts, whether they choose to pursue an academic career or one in private practice. Through extensive hands-on training and mentorship, fellows learn to lead interdisciplinary conferences, and have access to specialist experts in adult and pediatric cardiothoracic surgery, pulmonology and critical care medicine. A successful track record among past fellows demonstrates the benefits of our program’s rigorous training and patient-centered focus.
The Cardiothoracic Imaging Fellowship program combines extensive hands-on experience with comprehensive didactic training, research and teaching responsibilities. The focus of the fellowship is split evenly between cardiac and thoracic imaging, with fellows rotating between the two disciplines on a weekly basis. In addition to taking part in grand rounds and journal club, fellows rotate through and present at numerous multidisciplinary weekly and monthly conferences, encompassing pediatric and adult cardiology, oncology, pulmonary medicine and pulmonary pathology.
