Surgical Pathology Fellowship

Surgical pathology fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center is a one-year program available to qualified, licensed AP or AP/CP board-eligible/certified pathologists with two positions available annually.

Although the program is non-ACGME accredited, all ACGME regulations regarding duty hour limits, rest, assessment, evaluation and feedback are followed under the supervision of the GME office. The fellowship is based in the Department of Pathology with an ongoing accredited AP/CP pathology residency program and other fellowships.

Prerequisites:

Licensed AP or AP/CP board-eligible/certified pathologists

Foreign medical graduates must have a medical degree from a school listed in the World Health Organization Director of Medical Schools, have fulfilled all educational requirements to practice medicine in the country where the degree was obtained, and hold a valid license for same)

How To Apply:

For initial application we will need three letters of recommendation, Step III results, and a CV. Please forward the following items to the attention of Ela Stekala by October 16th.

  • Current CV with personal statement,
  • Completed application form, (Application Form)
  • Two (2) wallet size photographs,
  • Official Graduate School/Medical School transcripts,
  • Copy of Graduate School/Medical School Diploma, if awarded.
