Body MRI Fellowship

The Body MRI Fellowship is a year-long program dedicated to the study of abdominal and pelvic magnetic resonance imaging, including topics such as:

• Magnetic resonance enterography
• Liver HCC screening
• Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography (MRCP)
• Multiparametric prostate MRI
• Rectal cancer staging
• Gynecologic malignancies
• Dynamic pelvic floor studies

There will also be blocks of elective time that can be spent in cardiac, neuro, and musculoskeletal MRI. The successful fellow gains experience in all aspects of MRI imaging. The program is not Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited.

Our facilities consist of 5 MRI scanners: 2 1.5T and 3 3T magnets. We also cover a number of hospitals in the area with permanent and mobile MRI units.

The fellowship also includes a large volume of basic and advanced computed tomography (CT) imaging, including dual-energy CT. We are active with a number of CT-guided procedures including lung and solid organ biopsies, fluid aspirations and drain placements. We encourage the fellows to be active in all parts of the body service.
